TIFFANY MATTERN-THIAIS

Tiffany Mattern-Thiais holds a Bachelor of Law majoring in Private Law from the Law School of the University of Aix-en-Provence, as well as a Master 1 in International Business Law and a Master 2 in Arbitration and International Trade Law from Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University.

Tiffany also obtained a Diploma in Criminal Science and Criminology from the Institute of Criminal Sciences and Criminology at the Law School of the University of Aix-en-Provence and is currently studying for a Diploma in Insolvency Law from the Institute of Judicial Studies (IEJ) at La Sorbonne.

In parallel with her studies, Tiffany has completed seven internships, including one with Foussat avocats, a firm specialised in commercial agency, and a six-month placement in the commercial litigation team at Ollyns law firm in Paris.

In order to diversify her skills beyond the legal aspects of the business world, Tiffany also gained experience with the management of a car import company, which gave her an insight into corporate life and international trade.

Shortly, she will commence an internship at the International Commercial Chamber (5-16) of the Paris Court of Appeal.

Being of dual Franco-German nationality, Tiffany has always wanted to pursue a career with an international outlook. Her diverse experiences have solidified her interest in international and commercial law. Consequently, she will sit the CRFPA entrance exam in September 2025 with a view to becoming a lawyer specialised in international dispute resolution.

She recently co-authored “La conclusion de l'affaire Héritiers du sultan de Sulu contre Fédération de Malaisie : un consul vous manque et l'arbitrage est dépeuplé” with Adam Malek, a lawyer specialised in international arbitration, available at Lextenso's actu-juridique.fr website.

Finally, after a number of commitments to associations, Tiffany currently serves as vice-head of communications for the Club de l'arbitrage.
